No idea if the Soviets painted their aircraft black, but here`s my take on a Mig-15 nightfighter.

Good work! Seems like a Mig-28 from movie "Top Gun" but.....why there r 5 lil red stars above canopy? Soviet fighter hits soviet planes?

Look's great all Black  Soviets used star's as kill marking's in World War II just look at some of their P-39 Airacobras.

Yes, johnsjunk is right - our pilots usually used little stars as victory marks. Sometimes the red stars marked individual kills, while the group kills were marked by white or yellow stars.

It would be logical for the night MiG to have a radome like this:

Very nice.  Not sure about the red primer in the flaps and air-brakes - makes it look a bit USN but hey, its a Whatif!  The gloss black looks very slick indeed!

Nah, it makes it look sexy. Which is needed on such an ungainly looking aircraft.

I also believe the star issue was that the Soviet pilots didn't want to 'deface' their aircraft with their enemy's markings which is a logical if unusual twist.

Did this as part of a `speed build` GB on another forum. Started on Friday night an finished mid afternoon Sunday. I reckon total build time for this was approx 12 hours so quite happy with the end result.  ;D

 for the comments and added info chaps. As stated it was a OOB build but I wanted it to look a little different.

Nice! The black makes the rather pudgy MiG-15 look decidedly sleek!   ;D

 Yeah. Kinda fitting for a night-fighter, though. Getting up at zero dark thirty to intercept a blip on someone's radar.
