starting kit is an Italeri 1/720 Deutschland.

Pics some time next week.

I'll leave you with one clue, Alexander McDougall.  ;D

Now that does sound an interesting idea, using a Pocket Battleship as a basis

So does it belong to break-away "Laurentia" opposing Canadian intervention??

Is it going to "battle" the freshwater carriers Wolverine and Sable?

Will the dreadnaught be a "whaleback" design?

Gotta be a story there somewhere!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

This one intrigues me, both the build and the back story.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

I must build the USS Michilimackinac in response to this (base it on the Alaska just because the US has adequacy issues...).   ;D ;D

Looking forward to seeing this and the backstory.

Quick question:  Where would Canadastan build this, since the only private Great Lake is Lake Michigan?

EDIT:  Oh, wait, scratch all that.  Just googled "Alexander McDougall."  (Picard facepalm) :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Will the hull number be 191?

Do some wiki or google work on the whalebacks before you proceed.  The design was a flop.
The Leng Plateau is lovely this time of year

.....and that's a good reason NOT to build the model? Remember, this is WhiffWorld.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Given that looks to be a very wet ship you might look at some of the design elements of the Surcouf http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNFR_8-50_m1924_pics.htm
