Small scale jet trainer... FINISHED!

Here it is, the 1/144 scale Eduard Me 262B-1a. This is not my normal scale but I wanted to see if I could paint mottles in this scale and thought it would be a challange.
This little Eduard kit is actually very good and most everything fit together really well, only the canopy did not fit as good as I hoped it would.

This Me 262B-1a trainer ''white S'' was used by JV 44 to speed up training for its pilots who were learning how to fly jets.

You're better at 1/144 than I am at 1/72, Matrixone! Your work on the camo is a real testament to your incredible skill. I especially like the "money shot" with the quarter!

When I was painting the mottling on this model I actually held my breath so I could be as still as possible because I had to be very precise where each mottle was placed.

Yes, Matrix, you CAN mottle in 1/144! That is inspiring work, I can't get it looking that good even in 1/48! Kudos to you! How about you tackle some more 1/144 Luftwaffe models....such as the Zvezda or Eduard Ju.87 kits?

There is another 1/144 scale Me 262 I just finished, pics will be posted soon.

I do have two other 1/144 scale kits in my stash, both of them Eduard kits, a Fw 190 and Ju 52. The Fw 190 is an older Eduard kit and kind of klunky but the Ju 52 is a much newer and better kit and even comes with canopy masks. The Ju 52 I do want to build and use it in the background in some of my airfield pics.
This tiny 1/144 scale is not my bag and I don't see myself buying anymore of them unless Eduard produces a line of Luft'46 bombers in that scale.

Wow! I know 1/144 is tiny and I was highly impressed but you really don't get just how small it is until you see it with the Quarter!

Wait until you see the Me 262 nightfighter I just finished, I like it better than the two seat trainer. Pics will be posted in a day or two.
