It only takes 7 days folks  We have an opportunity to schedule it four times a month, we just need to pick the month and the week...

Well to be accurate, it's normally nearer 10 days: two weekends and the week in between, with "generous" start/finish times.

ive checked my callender in regards to international hollydays, and i think the bast dates are from October 29 to November 6, or from December 24, 2011 to January 1, 2012 (or December 31, 2011).

You reckon we're going to stop knoshing turkey and stuff to build models??  ;)

Some chance!

My Dear PR19, you fail to grasp the whiffing urge at full strength; I HAVE spent that whole week feverishly building things. Indeed, it is what Christmas is for. One simply tunes ones radio to 774AM (in Victoria) to listen to the Boxing Day Test while working, and models away! This is often interupted by opportunities to push newly aquired units of teeny little men across tables while shouting BANG! but can be very porductive.
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Hehehe, I understand that, but as a pensioner every day is Saturday for me, so I have much more chance to model in the week. That gives me the WHOLE of the Christmas period to scoff myself silly! Plus it's my Birthday on the 26th anyway......  ;D

I'm ready to start, you just have to kick-start, I have collection of beer for a week because I will not walk on the street at that time. :drink:

I normally take part in this but I'm busy now untill post Telford. I normally then hit a "dead period" for some reason  :banghead:

Before you go any farther however someone has to moderate the proposed GB - and no I'm not volunteering
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Taiidantomcat

Never moderated but I am willing to... for a week? how bad can it be!? ;D

Ah but there's the build up and clean up.

In all honesty I think we'll have to wait post Telford. At least as far as a lot of the Brits are concerned

I'd personally be happy for this to happen before Telford as it might kick my @rse in to gear to get something done for it!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Okay, is this thing going to happen? I've not missed one in several years.

Well, now Taiidan's offered to moderate why don't we float a couple of dates with a quick show of hands to get the ball rolling?  Two dates off the top of my head:

Friday 14th to Sunday 23rd October.  For those wanting to start sooner, a month away to allow people to get their bits in order but not too close to Telford.
Friday 25th November to Sunday 4th December.  Two weeks after Telford to allow Brits to get over the post Nationals hangover, but doesn't clash with Christmas.  It's the day after Thanksgiving for those in US would this be okay?

Shout out which date you prefer, as long it's okay with TD since he's doing the moderating!

I like the Nov. days because I have the day after Thankgiving off. ;D
