Stumbled upon this, err, colorful (but not unsexy) ebay offering - from Germany, but, strangely, posted in UK:

Obviously camouflaged for an estuarine tidal delta region with grey-white sand & mangroves.

So, either a very limited operating area; or operating on a completely different planet; or in a different space-time continuumumum.

Not so much a What If as a What The FFFF?



I'm almost tempted to buy this just to get it into our world. Next time you fly on a four-engined 757 and the pilot cuts the power and does a dead-stick landing at 200+mph, you'll know which model somebody bought him as a kid...

I like "SPECIFICATIONS COLOURS AND CONTENTS MAY VARY FROM ILLUSTRATIONS". Given the state of the artwork, you'd probably open it up to find that it's a British Racing Green Ferrari submersible T-72 tank...

Shame that the (noble) lady seller doesn't include a photo of the content. Maybe we could raise funds to buy it, just to see..... :banghead:

Is it perhaps a Grigorovich E-2 Kometa? An aircraft of Russian design but "inspired" by the dh88.
