Hello all:

Here's some pics I took earlier today of the Czech "What If" SIG table at Modelbrno. I chatted with "Panther G" and a few other SIG members:

And a bit of Egg plane fun here and there:

Here's a link to my Photobucket gallery of the event, with lots more photos:

Enjoy

Lovely pics! Thanks for sharing!

Seems to prove that everything looks better with Czech roundels!

My faves are the Czech aerobatics Macchi 205 and the F-104s in Italian WWII camos.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

What is it with Czech Whiffers? They come up with the best ideas then execute them masterfully. I love that retro Mig-15 with the wooden panels and the corrugated wing sections.

That's great to see!    Aren't they talented?

FANTASTIC work, and the whole stand shows serious talent, well done there!

What is it with Czech modellers and the wood panel idea? It looks great, and on the Mig 15 and F-104 it makes your head buzz. Is there something about wood and the Czech Republic?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

What's the red and white jet in the lower right of this photo?

Looks like it's got Fitter wings, but the rest is a mystery to me.

Some great inspiration there. That Aeroflot Tu-154 actually made me pull out my half-built one and take another look at it. Now that I have a crapload of reference, I have a good starting point...

The An-22 and Il-76 are awesome as well. I know the An-22 is an Amodel kit, is the Il-76 as well? Never seen that one...

Always great to collections such as these.  It looks like - to me - at least one 262 and one 229 cleverly disguised in the background - any chance of better pics?

and of course - for complete freedom of the hobby - the egg carrier and egg planes is tops.

thanks for sharing

I should, for clarity, mention that the egg plane carrier and the egg plane Mirage 2000 were not from the SIG table.

The Mirage was at one of the club tables and the carrier was on display at the IPMS Austria table.

That's a biz jet idea based around a Sukhoi Su-22. The wings were moved back and the horizotal stabilizers were made into canards. It also had a third seat added.

Unfortunately, my photo of it didn't turn out well at all.

So..I thanky upnorth for pics here..It was nice to meet You..

For Jschmus: this "red and white" machine is a "Bizz-jet Su-122" reworked from Su-22 by colleague Randalf" and was displayed past year (somewhere here at forum are pics from "Modellbrno 2010).

Czechs and wood? ;D
Somewhere on web we once see an AH-64A whole from wood...and this was truly inspirated  ;D ;D

Yep....and we make two little "internal What if" competitions: "Starfihters" and "Spaghetti by the Czech way"...

So,here are All Starfs....

And a group photo at the end....so...not all, because few comrades must go away earlier....

So...more pics I give later...I must "tune" them....

So..and here are pics from one colleague http://zajda85.rajce.idnes.cz/Modell_Brno_2011_-_What_if_SIG

Fantastic stuff, especially love the Starfighters in retro Italian camoflage
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
