Thanks for the correction Mossie, I'd have looked a total prat turning up at Telford one week early!

It would have been funny, but I couldn't let you do that Kit!

I had a mate used to knock on me to go to school a few days before start of year every single year!  Never failed to amuse me! :drink:
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well done Duncan, the first layer of paint is a major milestone.

Outstanding work Duncan: you have far more patience than I will ever have!

How stupid is that!? Thanks for the correction Mossie, I'd have looked a total prat turning up at Telford one week early!

I do know of somebody who rode 200 miles to a biker rally once, only to find an empty field there because he'd gone the weekend before by mistake! (and no, it wasn't me....) Luckily he had mates nearby, so it wasn't a totally wasted trip, nor did he have to ride 200 miles back home the same day!  ;D

I continue follow closely this thread, good work.

Definately getting there  ;D

That should really read:-
Duncan's First Law of Scratchbuilding: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "TOO MUCH MILLIPUT"!

Try putting excessive amounts of Humbrol or Green Stuff onto plastic and watch as the plastic looses its rigidity and goes soft as its chemical balance changes due to too much solvent in the putty. Note Duncan has used relatively thin coats of humbrol over his already solid plastic card & milliput structure.

It is very impressive Duncan, I can't wait to see the finished product.

A real design that looked better than Thunderbird 1, what more can you say. I'm just so happening to be playing the Soundtrack from that show as I read this too.

Duncan, that is a veritable tour de force!

It looks the absolute business and I can hardly wait to see the whole thing at SMW.

Excellent work.
