The Cyberhobby Sea King HC-4 poster has been updated and the boxart supplied, with a scheduled release due for July this year

Hannants price is £34.99 but it should be cheaper to source from far east if you look around

Folding blades are a nice touch.

Its a pity Revell never chose to do the Junglie with their excellent HAS5/AEW2 kit, considering they have been used in every warzone since 1982

HOW much??

That's approximately what I said when I saw the new Val in my local MZ  :banghead:

If ever there was an opportunity for a resin HC4 conversion kit 'from an aftermarket resin supplier near us', there's one!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The Airwaves one is OOP at the moment, but to be honest for the variant Airfix, Revell or Fujimi should have really kitted it themselves :-\

Dragon have announced a DH Vampire.  Expect it to be as expensive and as "accurate" as their Sea Vixen and Sea Venom.

Looks like the Sea King HC.4 is out, some on ebay from China. Some of the pics look a little odd but hay-ho you can't say really until you see the kit.

Got the kit, not bad nice detailed interior but the troop seats are way underscale, the door gun is a 50 cal rather than GPMG and they have coppied and scaled down the Hasegawa kit as the kit shape is very similar especially in the engine are and aft of the rotor housing. Unfortunately unlike the Hase kit they forgot to include the shroud aft of the rotor housing leading to a very odd appearance. Its actually a few mm shorter than both the Revell & Fujimi kits in the fuselage length and width.

So, they've screwed the pooch on a UK subject again.  And the price will be extortionate too.  Another one to avoid.

Well, you only need the undercarriage, some RTV and a few Revell kits.  ;D

I wonder if they're based it on one specific machine which didn't have the rear rotor housing shroud when they measured it?

Wouldn't be funny though, if they were right and all the other manufacturers were wrong in the dimensions of the fuselage?

Given their recent track record I'd think it's very unlikely....

If you look at the fuselage parts and compare with the Hasegawa kit, you can see where they got their kit breakdown, as to the scaling who knows as we know Revell can be as bad as CyberHobby for getting their measurements spot on !
