So now that we're due for the re-issue of the Airfix P.1127, what what-if ideas do you have for it?

Turn it into something Bristol 217-ish.You cannot view this attachment.

Finish it as a Harrier, bearing in mind the Harrier was in the so-called 'real world' developed from the Kestrel.

And that the Kestrel and the Harrier were still model number P.1127.

Needs longer wings.......................  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Even I recognize that necessity, Kit.  What the hell were they smoking when they decided to have wings the same size as the horizontal stabs?

Well, initially it was a design for a Special Forces 2-man mini-sub that they scaled up & tweaked a bit. ;)

Exactly!

Maybe they figured that the Pegasus would be in lift mode almost the entire time? In which  case they forgot the IFR probe, or probeS even!

For reference, the P.1127 version represented by the model is one with a 9-inch shorter fuselage than a Kestrel, the delta wing, and thin-lipped intakes with big splitters and no auxiliary blow-in doors. The Kestrel had the intakes with inflatable rubber lips.
