To repair, scrap or 'reduce to produce'?

Strike two............  :banghead:

The Spitfire PRXIX is no more. After spending AGES painting and trimming the new landing gear, the starboard leg broke off at the new joint as I was attaching the wheel!!!!

That was enough, the darn thing has fought me all the way, so I stamped on it..............

End of story.  :wacko:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Pity, because it could well have been salvaged.  I would have ripped the wing off and replaced it with a Spit 21 wing.

I never bin anything - there's a use for everything at some point and even if I can't find one, I usually know others who can.

The landing gear wasn't the only problem with it Lee, it was originally made from a Frog Mk XIV back in the 70s, was really far too bright to be PRU Blue, and had the wrong camera bulges under the fuselage and wings as well as no fuel pump fairings. It was only a makeweight until I do a proper RW PRXIX.
