I'm looking at selling an 1/72 ICM TB-3 Soviet bomber but have just seen a daft price on line. Saw it on offer at 199.99 (not sure if $ or £'s)

Does anyone know if this is a rare kit ?

Plus does anyone no a good site for getting an idea of what some of these are really worth ?

Thanks for any help

Chris

I tend to use the Hannants price as a baseline.

I did a search on Ebay and one just sold in the US for $48 USD on Sept 4th. It started at $18.99. You can search on completed sales for up to 30 days in the past.

Lots of stuff

I wouldn't take ebay prices as a guide, bearing in mind idiots seem to pay over the odds for stuff they can buy cheaper off the shelf.  What can go for a fortune one day can go fo a pittance a day later.  Seen it happen.

Unfortunately, this nonsense is pushing up the prices on the second hand kit market.  I saw an Attacker at Telford priced at £12 - for an Eastern Express one.

There's a Contrail Avro York (the complete kit one) going for a cool £130 as a Buy it now.  It's been there for quite a while - bearing in mind the CMR York conversion is only £50 (I think) and a Revell Lanc is £15ish, you'd have to be a complete arse to buy it.

One of the traders at Yate had a TB-3 on his stand, for £85 IIRC!!

Needless to say it was still there when we packed up.

It's a BIG aeroplane though!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
