In the next two planes of the "what - if the USAAF/ USAF was all flying wing designs from 1928 to present day" series I described in the Boeing B-11 post, are the Martin B-14, which was lend leased to allied nations :

And the Boeing B-16, which would have been the early war "fortress".

These would be the equivalents of the B-15, 17 and 18.

A flying wing, belonging to the yellow wing era. Superb!

I love flying wings and these are fantastic
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Good on ya for a nice "development series" of flying wings. Northrop would be proud!

I have a Japanese whif in mind that will make the twin engines of a flying wing (Northrop N9M) into engine/fuselages. It's a long way off to being built, but has been "in the making" for decades.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Between-the-wars US colourings are probably my favorite era.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Oh how I WISH they'd have made that for real!  :banghead:

I'm glad you did though Russ, that looks terrific.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
