I just completed my Curtiss B-20D Vulture. The Vulture was developed in 1941 by Curtiss as a development of the British Avro Lancaster in order to produce a bomber for the USAAC which was better able to survive in a hostile environment than the too lightly armed Boeing B-17C and D.

That's excellent, both in modelling and thought process too, nice one.  :bow: :bow:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

"Privateer" engines, B-17 tail. I think the nose might be over-crowded with the "ball" turret there (better maybe to have the "remote" twins there, and the ball turret where the "remote" was!).

Very interesting - and how odd a Lanc looks with a single fin and rudder!
Now if I were to build my take on this I'd use P-40B Allisons and maybe a Blenheim IV rearwards firing turret, but that's just a preference thing.

Now you need to do an Limey Forty: B-17 with Merlins and .303 turrets everywhere.... :wacko:

Great concept. It might be hard to reciprocate since RAF Bomber and Coastal Command had both B-17's and 24's plus flew B-29's designated as "Washingtons" postwar.
