I told you I was going to do something with that pic.   ;D
I still have to color in the white areas at the corners but I couldn't wait to post.

Stand in for some sort of radar/scanning dish device.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......EXCELLENT ;D ;D ;D

What it really needs are a couple of those little open-frame parabola radar aerials you see in Gerry Anderson stuff, and a couple of motors to make them spin..... ;D

Going a bit further into serious electronics (and way beyond my capability, before anyone asks), you could have a small remote that goes in your pocket: when you quietly push the button, the ALARM light on the detector (which is facing the back of the stand, of course) goes on and the digital readouts start registering random figures in the 80%+ range (apart from the SENSE OF HUMOUR one of course)......

You could do an old Allan Funt trick (Candid Camera) and put either a kids walkie talkie, or a FM wireless Mic or a cell phone inside the case. Put the box on a table at a contest or show and stay within view but out of earshot and have the box comment or talk to the passersby. Phrases when a man goes by like "Low manhood detection" or maybe "nerd alert" and of course a few for the kids too.

No, what is the IC? - 8088, 6845, 1802, 6800, 6500, 6821, etc.

It's terribly important, otherwise your device will be incorrectly represented.

That is utterly brilliant!  I've put an entry on Whiffpedia about this bit of kit - could you put a picture of the finished device on the page?

Don't know, I superglued over the markings.  Doesn't matter anyway-it's gone. I really didn't like it, and I need to look for something a bit more realistic;D
