Without the wings and with the huge props and "boaty" hull, it almost looks like some Soviet ekranoplan/wing-in-ground-effect vehicle.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Thank you all very much, everyone!

Building has been slow (I've been on night shifts). Things have moved forward a little & I'd like to be moving faster but tomorrow is going to be pretty busy, so not much is going to get done then - although I may try to get some photo's of the WIP. With a lot of luck I might get her finished by New Years but I wouldn't put money on it.

Oh, she has wings, now, but no prop's & the top of the engines haven't been fitted. Soon, though, as I just need to finish painting the front of the engines & the prop's before I put them on, then I can close up the engine bay (I need them open to access the back of the prop hubs, so I can ensure a close fit).

Then it should be on to a temporary closing-up of the hull & a paint job (man, I hope that works out - 'coz it's my favourite concept of the whole build). Then open her up, fit the undercarriage & final fit of the doors, do the crew & a fairly basic base & she'll be ready to show.

That's "The Plan", anyway..... but we all know where "The Plan" goes, when the excreted solid bodily waste matter hits the air circulation devices' rotating blades, don't we! :banghead:

Still; Keep Smiling! ;D

Cheers!

OK, been a while but "I haz updates!".

First, however, thank you James & tc2324!

Progress halted over the Christmas / New Year period due to work & family responsibilities but I'm grinding forward again, and here are the pic's to prove it!

As you can see my prop-painting skills require development. The front of the engine nacelles & the prop's will be sealed for their protection soon because the main body of the engines needs PSR (Oh, joy!). Putty is Aves Apoxy Sculpt for the main work & any fine fixes I use Humbrol tube putty (it's very fine & quite soft) which I find easy to use.

So, I'm off to PSR! Enjoy!

Cheers!

Looking great OW....

If your really not jumping for joy over your painted props, may I suggest a tad of weathering to `hide` the odd bleamish?

Although from there I`m sitting, they look ok to me. ;)

Thanks, tc!

Oh, they're good enough that I can think "They'll do." but they aren't in the FAR148 league of finishing by fathoms! ;)

A few people, who's work I've had the privilege of seeing here & on a couple of other sites, but certainly not me! ;D

Thanks, Cobra!

With any luck I'll be looking at giving her a primer coat late tomorrow. We'll see what gets in the way between now & then, 'ey! ;)

Well, progress has been slow, slow, slow! :banghead: However, I have moved forward a couple of steps & the proof is just down the page.

I wanted to do a big "reveal" at the end but decided that was overdone (by me), so you see the build as it is here & now - the photo's were taken less than 10 minutes ago, as I type this.

I will be surprised if most of you don't figure out the paint scheme the C-119C(T) will end up when you see these photo's but, maybe, that will be as much fun as the "reveal" thing.

The mildly observant will notice there's a bit of seepage to fix but, luckily, less than I actually expected.

Compliments & constructive criticisms welcome.
