Do not worry gentle people, the rubber Duck will NOT be displayed on the What If display . It is Not to scale, the colour of the beak is NOT accurate, and worse than that it has NO stuffing!

I would have loved to get down there but with the PGCE and starting a month of in-school teaching placements next week I can't.

Howard of Effingham

i'd like an answer to couple of burning questions concerning SMW.....

who's bringing the 'white £5 note' with them? and with all these requests for duck on the menu, do we need a whiff-duck farm?

istr, various whiffers talking about such in the past....  ;D  ;D

Mrs. PR19 actually has one of them still, and one each of the big £10, £5 and 10/- notes from the 50s-60s. They're in a BIG album of memoribilia though and I doubt she'd let them out of her sight!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Well done Mrs.PR.19.

I remember my grandad  having a set of scales to weigh Sovereigns in, and Half-Sovereigns too. Just to check that gold hadn't been filed away. My uncle has them now.....and the Sovereigns!!
My grandad also had examples of the Guinea. Now I'd always thought that the Guinea was merely a posh way of saying 21 shillings, and a way of counting out cash....but apparantly there were coins too.
