Old??

Last Tuesday: Alice Cooper in Sheffield.
Thursday: VAMPIRE'S ROCK,Birmingham
Friday, last night: Limehouse Lizzy, Tamworth
Saturday, Tonight: Partners-in-Crime....great local band at Water Orton
SUNDAY: VAMPIRE'S ROCK..Notts Arena with family and friends....all dressed up in Hallowe'en costume and travelling in on public transport!!
MONDAY: The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Wolverhampton. Once more, in costume babies.
Wednesday: MOTORHEAD, Wolverhampton
Friday: Band Night, the pub
Saturday,: "Marat Sade"...some very rude "culture" at the RSC Stratford
Sunday: The Grapes...pub local music!!

Then it calms down a bit for a week while I get ready for Telford.
But also in November, apart from reguilar, frequent visits to the pub for live music, there's "The Roy Wood Band" in Derby (a couple of friends are Bass and Drums in this), and The Darkness at Rock City, Nottingham.

December is PARTY TIME...lots planned.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Certainly is.....Roy Wood of Wizzard fame indeed. He lives not too far away, shops locally. Drops in occasionally at local pubs for a jam etc...

I still have all his 45's when he was Wizzard (just no record player to play them on  :banghead: :banghead: ), and some after they split (or was it Wizzard after the split)

Was that Roy Wood also one of the founders of Electric Light Orchestra if my ageing memory serves me correctly

Yes I remember now, Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne were together in that band but before that it was a band called 'The Move', I've got a few 45's still of those.  The Wood/Lynne ELO partnership soon died and Wood left and formed the band 'Wizzard'.  Got lots of ELO on 45's too.

Classic thread drift ! - Serious bit about SMW - general stupidity - classic 70's rock thread ??  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yes...back on target...we must get back on target.

I'll be there between 2pm and 3pm  on Friday to set up BIGGLES,m as others are doingf the set up for Stafford.
Then very early on Saturday and Sunday mornings as I'm on "guard duty" with the Duck at the Shutter doors. Then most of my time I'll be at the BIGGLES stand, all day Saturday and Sunday, apart from an occasional wander to lighten my wallet, judge a class, and chat, chat, chat, chat     and chat  :drink: :drink:

It's looking more & more unlikey that I'll be able to go, but I'll try & make an effort.  I'd booked the Sunday for something else with the idea of going on the Saturday, but now somethings come up & I don't have a back up plan. :banghead:  I'll see what I can do but I'm pretty sure I won't be going. :(
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
