I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Until I saw the real thing at Telford Ian, I'd totally missed that it was 1/48, but then it's yours, so it would be, wouldn't it?  ;D

I was shocked how big it was, and the yellow was WAY bright, but as you said at the time it was due to be weathered soon. Now it looks fantastic, as usual.  ;D

Thanks all, really encouraging comments and I always appreciate what's said.

Because I'm in work today and on nights tomorrow and Sunday, nothing will be done now until Monday afternoon at the earliest. Then I'll do a simple dark wash into the panel lines, I'll also extend the heat staining onto the lower fuselage - difficult to explain, I have an idea in mind. Followed by final assembly and matting-down hopefully it will be all done by next weekend... hopefully  ;).

Already got the next 'What If' project close-by the workbench... the only clue I'm letting-out... The Wooksta will not approve !!  .

Thanks again all.

Looking great - nice one Ian!

The heat blueing on the exhaust is particularly impressive (being a biker, I've spent a LOT of time looking at blued exhausts.....)

Funny, for my current project, "Me-2262 Schnellerbomber", I was thinking of Finnish markings, too. Maybe *your* Finn could escort *my* Finn for an all-jet flanking attack on the Soviets!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

I'm sure it could be arranged !!

Update on the build... erm, there isn't one. It's had the oil wash and looks a lot more 'tired' now, not nearly as shiny. Just needs matting down, and final construction, but as ever real life is getting in the way. At work all weekend, then Wednesday when normally I'd have the day to m'self, I'll be looking after daughter-gatherer as the school will be closed all day because of the 'General Strike'.

Will be Friday at the earliest before I can wrestle it to a finish !!
