Vickers Wellesley 'Mark II' whif potential

Some good reference material for a Wellesley whif on Britmodeller at http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=79233&st=0.
All news to me I must say - and a fascinating aircraft just got fascinatinger.
Now all that's needed is to replace the rear gunner glazing with a turret and pop a Bristol Hercules on the front and.....oooh, the whffing juices are flowing!

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

This photo dates from 2005 and is seen with its infamous replacement. I like the idea of fitting it with a Hercules thou

Hehe, I can hardly wait to see THAT one!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I've often thought that with those huge wings the obvious whif would be to put a couple of more engines on there for a 3-engine job, or just have one on each wing and rework the nose. Couple of Merlins maybe?

Or as I've proposed a number of times, just stick Wellington wings and engines on it: it only adds about 10 feet to the span.

You colud always put the Wellesley wings back on the Wimpy to make a seriously big glider.... :wacko:

I've had one in build for WELL over 10 years now, maybe nearer 15. I really should do something with it, and lots of inspiration for that here.....  ;)
