I've got one on the go right now..... rear gunners position removed, Hercules from an Airfix Sunderland, 4-bladed prop.....
Oh dear

Oh dear is right - wish I had seen that before.  :banghead:

Dont let it stop you. One on each side of the pond should be no problem :)
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

I love the Wellesley. I have an idea at the moment: a cross between a Wellesley and a Martin B-10... but wonder if that would be feasible in terms of scale...

Apart from a Hercules Wellesley, I'd graft engine nacelles, engines, props and undercart from a Blenheim on to the wings and probably enlarge the fin/rudder.  Bomb aimer's position in the nose, of course - perhaps a Mossie bomber's glazing, witht he pilot having a pair of Hampden style MGs in the nose.
Who knows what goodies may be forthcoming at Telford (2 Wellesleys and a Blenhein I think).

Strewth, it didn't stop me from stealing the Local Hawk idea....
Mine will simply have to switch to PRU Blue.

I'd like to do a Maritime Patrol Wellesley.
All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Well... I have also bid on an airfix wellington...

I am thinking of a twin engined Wellesley, maybe using the wellingtons tail feathers too... long ranged torpedo bomber?

Now there's an idea. Instead of Anson's

Would a winterized variant be the "Chilly Welly" then?  ;D

As an obvious extrapolation on that thought process... maritime/float variant... Wet Welly?

Tri-motor Wellesley with three 'helmeted-cowling' A-S Cheetahs, as a land-based fleet-shadower.

I was thinking in a Wellesley with a Boulton Paul Defiant turret, in dorsal position and a two fin  tail unit. A turbo-compressor unit for his bristol engine of 1675 hp to fly at high altitude, and a ventral prone post, for an observer.
