At this point, I am tentatively planning to attend. But will have to wait until we get closer to make a decision.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Me too.  Unfortunately it is a question between staying employed or attending the convention.  Very rarely does "free time" coincide with the convention or the convention's location.

I still am thinking about going to IPMS 2012 Orlando, but considering how to transport the actual models there.  Driving from California would entail something like 4 days each way plus 3 days of the actual event.  If I fly there, it would mean just taking a maximum of two or three models (and small ones at that), since the container must fit under the seat and not get the idiots at TSA alarmed....

Well, Dork, I'll see you there!  Dragon, I'll be flying there too, I'll probably bring 2 kits (1 RW, 1 WI) to sit on my lap for the flight.

Does anyone know what the typical dimensions of the space under the seats are by the way?  Maybe I could put it in a carryon box underneath.

I will be there.

We fly out on the redeye Sunday morning and will be in Disney Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Universal Wednesday, Convention time for me Thursday before meeting the family at Downtown Disney for dinner.  Friday on the Fantasy of Flight tour then find some food before Judging starts.  Saturday back to Universal and Magic Kingdom on Sunday.  Fly home Monday morning so the daughter can get ready for school starting on Tuesday.

Should be very relaxing.

We should set up a meet time Thursday after you get back from Kennedy.

I take it we aren't doing a SIG table?

'fraid not.  We weren't very coordinated, unfortunately.  If we're to do a SIG table we'll need to plan a year ahead, have the table reserved and get a commitment from whoever's going.  In this economy I think a lot of people had other priorities.  I say we look into it each September and see if we can commit.

What we could do is drop off a bunch of stuff on the what-if category.  I'm going to see if I can squeeze in 2 whatifs to the show.

Next years Nats are in Colorado which is next store so if we want to set up a table for that one, I should be going and can take lead.

We should see if we can get together for a meetup.  Shall we PM each other phone numbers?  I'll be fairly easy to find, just look for a 5'8" asian dude in a Dave Matthews Band t-shirt  ;D
