What IS going to replace the Lincoln?

And what about the base etc, as I asked a few posts ago?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Lincoln could be replaced by a Washington, albeit it in proper RAF colours like the Lincoln. Or even a "development" of the Liberator? Again, in post-war RAF colours?? Or you could do something daft with a He177??

Just build an He 177 in proper colours!  Given that nothing bar photos survives of the type, then it would be a what if in itself.

If someone had some spare Airfix (and they *MUST* be Airfix!) Lancaster u/c legs, I could possibly supply something Avro related to fill the gap...

Cheers - I'll  proceed on the assumption that it'll be Reds then. Building will be starting in the next few days (hopefully... :rolleyes:): I'll let you know when it gets to the point-of-no-return, i..e when painting starts.

I've just picked up another G.91 on ebay (I'm going to start calling them "buses" at this rate.... :rolleyes:) so that's a tentative candidate for a G.91T two-seater conversion, but it's not straight-forward and I am most definately NOT promising it in time for Cosford!

I am still hopeing to finish my Lancaster XL to replace the Lincoln, there just needs to be a back up plan in case I cant get it done in time.

Need to know by middle of Feb if you want the PE8 doing as i have a couple of family events before Cosford so will need longer than my usual two weeks  ;D ;D ;D
