Yeap.

As it happens I found my self over at Cosford today. There have been quite a few changes.  Altou I see no need to alter our plans.

In hanger three. we already knew the Harrier GR-9 had replaced the Tonka. But a few other tweaks have happened since that arrived. The Spitfire PRXIX that was next door to the Hurricane has gone, and has been replaced By a P-51D. And the Ki100 has returned from Hendon.
The gnat under the Lincoln is now the single seater. I didnt go down to hanger one so it may well be done there now.

In Hanger two. No gnat between the FD2 and the prone Meteor, And the Avro 707 has gone and has been replaced by the Tonka......which is the MRCA P02 so fits the hangers theme. The Martin Baker display including the Meteor has gone completely. There is a coming soon placard in one corner of the former MB display. And I think you lot will like whats coming............... ;D ;D

I always hope for the best.

Hm, does that mean I can slow down my JP6 to replace the 707C? It would make next week a little less manic if so.

That change of the M-B display confirms what the guys were saying when I was there last. I wonder where the Meteor 7 1/2 and the display items have gone to?

Would calling it the Royal Flying Corps Museum be a step too far?  ;)  ;D

P.1111 - will definately be ready: just needs two rounds of decals, matt coat and fragile bits adding.

Red Arrows Gina - not so sure.... I have a nasty feeling that the masking has failed and there'll be some serious clean-up to do, possibly terminal given the timeframe. Masking comes off tomorrow morning.

HOWEVER:

A: I'll be bringing anything else I've got that's museum-compatible (i.e. on it's wheels with no pilot), which is the Nicaraguan Iskra, the Salvadorean Magister, the Norwegian FA-5K and the Luftwaffe "Ghost" Flitzer, so if push-comes-to-shove they're available as gap-fillers,

B: I have a backup model, doable in one week, in mind.... ;)

Oh yes. Took them long enough; I enquired about the move in 2010 and a Cosford curator replied that it would arrive 'in the near future'. I suppose when you're overseeing 100 years of history, 2 years is near enough  ;D
