They've got the front end of a Bucc on a trailer, so you could "cheat" by putting the escape capsule from an Airfix F-111 on one instead and claiming it as an "F-111K".....

or put the back end of a Bucc on one!

Right I now have a complete set of the hanger floor plans, courtesy of IPMS Shropshire :)

This is now beginning to look like a very viable display.
if possable could you post it up so we can have a look what needs to be replaced?

1. Avro CF-100 with RAF markings and Firestreaks,

Not sure about the Firestreaks but an RAF Clunk would be good!

These are the two hangers im thinking of, Turns out what i thought where hangers 1 & 2 are in fact 2 & 3

Im thinking that the interactive area in hanger two would be the ideal spot for the Meteor PR19 and The High altitude Hurricane.

As of today, please only post up definite commitments model wise. We have untill March 31st (the day before the show) to pull this togeather
Once a slot has been filled I will mark it off on a master copy of the floor plans, first come first served

I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Quite like an all-white F-111....

Queen's Flight?..a Ju-52 would look nice.
Or perhaps "mis-interprate" "Queen's Flight" and paint "whatever" PINK?? With flowers?feathers?

Only you could think of that Rad..Pretty good idea though

Thanks fo the plans Martin.  I suggest you check out the Cosford website and take the virtual tours.  These will show that there have been some changes since the floor plan was drawn up.  I was there during SMW and took a few 'panoramic' shots that hopefully will show where some of the recent changes have occurrred (for example, don't recall seeing the 163 beneah the Lincoln, but may have just overlooked it).  Just about to head off Manchester to take Mum to hospital and won't be able to Photobucket and then post anything until Monday evening.

In tems of 'pledges', I'd be happy to offer my AAC Norseman were we covering Hangar 1.  Otherwise if I can get some Swiss Vampire/Venom decals I'll redo my Flitzer and will have a crack at the Tornado idea.  I have a Matchbox Gnat that I'm happy to cam up to look like the single seater - the forthcoming Arfix kit looks so good I can't not buy one!  Also I've mentioned doing an He162 and possibly a Mirage V as the Delta.

We'll be swamped with offers for 'in service' TSR2s of course, there must be over 100 of them available within the SIG, but some of the others could be difficult to Whiff.

What would we replace the FD2 and the Pucara with for instance, not to mention the Bristol 188?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

FD2....replace with Convair X-92 in RAF colours?

Pucara? Replace with Gannet ground attack aircraft??

Bristol 188.....replace with supersonic Meteor ;D ;D

I will replace the Jaguar fly-by-wire with a Mitsubishi/BAC F-1. Pretty sure I have ETPS markings in the stash and a spraycan of Appliance White!

I will also look at doing a FW Flitzer in RAF markings, probably postwar captured and testflown or built in the UK after we nick the plans from Germany!

The Wooksta!

I've a Swiss Flitzer in the loft at me Mam's.  Won't be there but can hand it over at 'uddersfield.  If you want a whiffed Mossie, I can dust off the Highball one - the nearly real one or the Banff one.  Or replace it with a DH Hornet.  I can spare a late mark Spitfire from The Alternate Spitfire collection (the Final Touch abortion), unless you fancy a Spiteful instead.  And there's the four cannon Hurricane Ib spare too.  I've an RAF Komet 2 seater you

All of these are built but just need a dusting down.

One final point - might be even more fun to slip a real one in amongst the whiffs.  I've a FD2 that's doing nowt.

Just pick the bones out of that lot and I'll hand a box over at 'uddersfield.

Maybe the SR.53 high-speed research proposal? A subtly-altered SR53 (black or metallic leading edges, different rocket engine) put in place of the Bristol 188 would be a double headscratcher.

The swiss Flitzer is a good idea. I all ready have one of lee's, Hurricanes here. A Spitfull in place of the PRXIX and a Hornet in place of the mossi would be good double take material :)

TSR-2 options are on the cards with the Project cancelled boys. Heavens forbid, It might even be replaced with a cancelled F-111K. The Bristol 188 already has a replacement courtesy of one of Genral Melchet/Andy's scratchbuilds.

As for the Pucara. If push comes to shove and we cant come up with something new, I still have Scooterman/Brad's Argentine F-4E.
I always hope for the best.

An Argentine Hornet may be a better idea - they did test fly it in the UK.  I did have plans for one but The Alternate Spitfire had priority.

I'll pass some stuff over at 'uddersfield.  You can choose what you use or leave in the box.  Better to have too many than too few.
