experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Leave the panicking to me......

Red Arrows Gina - not so sure.... I have a nasty feeling that the masking has failed and there'll be some serious clean-up to do, possibly terminal given the timeframe. Masking comes off tomorrow morning.

It's screwed: just about every inch of the stripes is ragged-edged or crept-onto by red. I spent a couple of hours this morning trying to fix it, but it still looks ghastly, and I cannot, for the life of me, see any excuse for a badly-painted Red Arrow........ :banghead:

The reserve plan is in play: how does a single-Olympus Lightning sound? (Don't say "loud"..). The plan is to mate Lightning intake, canopy, wings, tailplanes and fin with an Su-7 fuselage, then paint it all silver. Acceptable?

So who's got a decent printer to make a scale 'Coming Soon: JCA' placard????
'JCA' of course being the MOD's name for JSF/F-35.

Gondor

JayBee has arrived collected and left with items from my place for Cosford. One defiantly for this display (Meteor F2) with a reserve (Sea Harrier F/A3) and a third for general display (F-16J-2A).

Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

Serious question. Will there be room for non alternative Cosford models on the stand ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Steel Penguin

Narses I'm hoping so, OGL does say there will be a 3rd table for the "freescale" offering back in the 5th para of the 1st post of this tread, as I'm planing on bringing my 1:48 Chally one Wifs,  AVRE and twin 30mm ADA, plus a Berlin block cent AVRE ( if the above is agreeable with OGL of course!)
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Just nearly screwed the pooch on the Olyping: decided it needed a variable nozzle and remembered that I had one in the spares box. Fitting it meant cutting a bit off the back of the Su-7 fuselage. Decided on the panel line to cut at, whipped it over, cut at a ridge on the inside of the fuselage, test fitted it: didn't fit. The line on the inside of the fuselage was further forward that the panel line on the outside.... :banghead:

Glued the cut off bits back before too much damage was done: filler here we come....

JCA or Joint Combat Aircraft is the Requirement, the F-35 is the prferred choice to fulfill that requirement (Its not actually filled till we order the first production batch next year).

However given recent weeks news stories perhaps the sign should read :
Coming not so Soon:
F-35B
F-35C
F-35B
F-35C, F-18E, Rafale M, Sea Typhoon ?
To be confirmd

I'll have a 1/72nd Parasol-Winged Spitfire available..... :banghead: :banghead:

Just sprayed yet another coat of white gloss on the Mitsubishi/BAC Jaguar  ;)
Really nervous at the thought of the soon-to-come masking and shaky hand painting..... :-\

Is it worth my bringing some of my older RAF whifs in case there is space?

Thinking of space, why didn't we include the UK's first Lunar Module? Or would that go to Hendon?  ;D

That's your Spitfire sorted then, Martin?
