the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

How's this for a truly heretical idea....

A what if SIG display with nothing but (whisper it quietly) REAL world stuff on it...afterall, if the what-if stuff was real, then the real stuff would be what-if...

Yes, that IS truly heretical.  ;D

But would drive the JMNs totally insane trying to work out what was Whiffish about the models on display!!!!  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

And another thing.........

My daughter (she who's the Best Air Traffic Controller in the RAF, did you know that?  ;)) was wholly impressed with both the idea and the execution of our display and suggested that it ought to be on permanent display in the Museum Entrance building.  ;D ;D ;D

I did suggest putting model trestle tables onto the Hall 2 table, representing the SIG display with all real-world models on them.....

Bit tricky in 1/72nd and probably too small to see, but what you could do is one BIG Whiff in 1/32nd to replace the FD.2, then have 1/35th tables in front of it with 1/700th aircraft carrier planes on them.... ;D

Next year Hangar 1, Cold War hangar for 2014!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Who's likely to risk hanging their 'replacement' Lightning F3 model up by its nose 2 ft off the surface of the stand???  :o

Sadly none of the Museum Staff came around the show, at least none that we could see anyway. They seem to pursue a low profile during these shows.

I took a few pccies, but Chris and others did many, MANY more!

'Hangar 2' table

'Hangar 3' table

'Normal' Whiff SIG table

Recce Corner

Quick Stuff

Erm, yes........ ;D
