Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I saw those advertised elswhere Chris, and thought the price was a misprint, as its not that bad a price really for modern armour kits in that scale.

Must admit I was surprised at the price.

A friend in the London club has shown off his recent acquisition of 3 kits related to DUNE, the recent movies. Meng have the kits licence for the Dune franchise and they look good.
I'm guessing these are approximately 1/144 scale.
Jadlam are offering the set for £34.95.

Some scale reference would be nice.  A Lego Sardukar Minifig for example.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The ornithopters will fit on the palm of your hand pretty much. The spice harvester will pretty much fill your palm, with some overlap.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The ornithopters are about 10cm long which is about the same as a 1/144 F-14 Tomcat. That works for me.

The Spice Harvester is also 10cm long so it's not the same scale. References say they were 120m long I'd guess at 1/1200 scale.

Is ornithopter really the correct term for the Dune
machines? They don't have bird wings and are far
closer to dragonflys in appearance.
;)

Mossie

Pterygothopter? Most mainstream interpretations of Dune ornithopters are insectile, but I don't remember them being described explicitly that way in the book, in fact I remember more bird like comments.

Almost forgot, there is a genus of butterflies named ornithoptera, so it's not strictly wrong, although the name is describing birdlike features of their wings so still about birds!

Of course then there's the issue of pronunciation,
properly it should be ornitho-ter with a silent p.
This also holds for helicopter, helico-ter, which
comes from helice/helix.
;D

The audio book of Sir Terry Pratchett's Pyramids was ruined for me by the person reading it constantly pronouncing the P.
Ptracy and Pteppic became Per-Tracy and Per-Teppic.  No.  Stop it.
