... just nothing finished apart from a da Vinci tank in January.

William in oz

post pics of it here as it IS a "whiff"  ;)  ( the Royal Engineers got their 1:1 scale kit working but didn't finish it )

Once I get into the museum storage to measure it, I might do a smaller-scale model model of the WW1 DeMole Tank  :o
you may as well all give up -- the truth is much stranger than fiction.

Well, I'm trying to finish the twenty-something half-complete models I have kicking around before I start anything new, but I have a couple of mecha to build in the first half of the year, for group builds. Other than that, it's whatever I get the urge to do, as usual. Maybe something big, like a heavy bomber, for a change.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Who'll be the first to whiff the A400M from Revell, and who'll be first with the Zwilling version?
By the way, is the triple fuselage one called the Trilling?

Early on in this thread Wooksta advised wisely that he made no lists.

Never said that.  Said I was sticking to The Plan, but it's large enough to ensure I don't have to do anything in any order.  Besides which, all of the marks are covered, so now I can just have fun.

The Plan only exists to keep track of everything, to remind me of schemes and what needs doing on any given airframe (props and canopies are always a last minute bugbear).  It isn't set in stone.

I'd still like to do a pair of Beaufighters, not to mention a Finnish Blenheim or two with engine changes.  The BMW 801 is probably too powerful but the Jumo 211 from the Ju 88 might be ideal.

Meh. To enlarge the A400M, I'd splice a section in between the fuselage halves, to make it (much) wider.

I was looking at my Revell Lancasters & had a vision of a lengthened, super long ranged 6 engined Lancaster Mk WH1F . Not sure if the normal u/c would support such a large beast so, I sort of considered using the 2 inboard engines from each kit to give 4 large single mainwheels. As I recall, this layout was actually intended for the Vickers Windsor? :-\

Not only intended, they actually did it and it worked quite well. IIRC 'Winkle' Brown had to land one of them with only three of the legs working.

You idea sounds great, go for it.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Would the Six Engined vertion be anything like my Lancaster Mk XL that I am building and want to finish in a few months time?

Views of a test fit to see what it will roughly look like. Not sure about its length as the wings are far longer in telationship to the body than I expected  :banghead:

Bit late now to change it though
