Nifty. But I'd very much like to see the Italeri/Dragon kits re-released. They're rather rare and pricy at the moment...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I've got my copy, and I think I'm going to be buying me a LOT of YF-23 kits....

Good luck finding them.

Cor, I never knew many of those F-23 derivatives existed, and that publication does look the business.

I have one of the Italeri YF-23s in The Loft, and was seriously disappointed when the USAF selected the 'wrong one' as far as I was concerned. The fact that I've actually touched a YF-23 at Northrop's airfield in downtown LA as well makes seriously interested.  ;D

The piccie is copyright me, but anyone can fold, spindle or mutilate it in any way they wish..........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I've got an Italeri 1/72 YF-23 in my stash. The two seater version could be made by adding an RA-5C or TSR-2 cockpit. Got both of those kits. :banghead:

I've got copies of the DML and Italeri kits together in one box.
I've been hanging onto them forever, but haven't done any real work.
Make a reasonable offer.

As if.....!  ;D

I've never got to a show before OGL yet, I think he doesn't actually need sleep, being OGL of course.  ;)

No, I took The Hat off because the small hall we were in was getting uncomfortably hot.

Getting back to the main purpose of the thread (a radical idea I know... ;D) I found a few more piccies of the YF-23 that I took at Hawethorne.

Too bad all those Testors sanp-together YF-23s being sold on eBay as 1/72 aren't really 1/72. And most of the sellers get downright pissy when you tell them they're not 1/72 scale, closer to 1/100.

I have fond memories of that kit- it was the basis for one of my first "Whiffs" (which I still have) circa 1999.  It looks very nice in US NAVY BLUE ANGELS colors.  It was part of one of the first beachheads in the IPMS USA National Convention at Orange County- The "What-If?" display table.

I was going through my collection of books, magazines and other aviation knick knacks I have acquired over the decades.

Looky what I found:

I do not know recall how I got the SNORT decals but the YF-23 decal I believe came from the St. Louis McDonnell Douglas plant which my friend and I visited when we drive drove to Omaha in July 1982.
