I have the same kit, but I'm intending to build it as an A model, using the take-off trolley from a Mistel 5 suitably modified. I hope mine comes out half as good as yours!  :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

so do you use free hand for the darker mottle - or some sort of masking or blue tac thing to get that great mottle?  Would love to know the technique because it looks really great

No, there isn´t any mask for this; many years, many times, many kits and profiles views,...and long pulse and patient.
