Look carefully at the big flying boat in the middle  :o

what say you guys ?

Looks like a catamaran Emily or Sidoku flying boat- maybe the work of Tophe's Ninja alter-ego ? And the weird seaplanes, pocket battleship, and ballistic missile submarines, lots of leaps but colorful.

There was a Sikorsky (?) project that looked a lot like that.

But what is that on the right hand side???  At the same level as the Shinden(-ish) thing in the middle.

The submarines look WAY too modern for 1946 to me, but then what do I know about submarines? The don't have ANY wings, let alone long ones!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

A long time ago I got a VCR tape of a Deep Blue Fleet episode from some military-video company.

I like the Japanese imagination, as rampant and UN-realistic as it is (totally ignoring logistics and industrial capacity!!).
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

The German Type XXI of 1943 still looks surprisingly modern and the large Japanese I boats were sunk deliberately by the US to ensure Stalin didn't get his hands on them.  Again, they were surprisingly modern boats for the time and it's alleged by various authors that they were intended for nuclear power.

Looks like a reject from StarWars  ;D

Yeah, I don't think much of the subs either too "late-German / Soviet".  The story-line says they are more like Walter-powered Japanese I-400 class which makes much more sense - the cartoonists probably don't know what an I-400 looked like.

Apart from the Japanese Arado-234 & the 6-engined B-17 multi-fuselage thing, the other aircraft look Japanese '46-ish tho

C'mon guys, I know there are some here who can do interesting profiles on this theme ....

The large subs look a lot like Delta IV's, but with a shorter conning tower.

Arawasi says they will soon post basic profiles for us to modify  ;)

I have bought a few decal sheets thru these guys (they're modellers who source kits etc of japanese items), their service & prices are good

a vid of Deep Blue Fleet to watch

there is a second video but it's not as good -- I just skipped thru it.  For some reason all tanks in this film seem to be bog-standard RW stuff - no whiffs there  :-\

A little further down from the float "Nick" is a another whiff, a twin engine Zeke. Nice illustration too. At first I thought it was a painting of the
abandoned Ki-102 Randy or the J5 "Tenrai" but no...just a two motor zeke!

Lots more down the page including prop jet carrier planes and a FW 200 Condor in IJN service.
