Firefox, knowing where you are would help ; however, if you're in Australia, we have "Pledge One-Go" which seems to be pretty much the same thing as "Future".

Thanks FAR148! I'm in Australia. I heard of Pledge One-Go but some said that it is still a little bit different from Future and it would 'yellowing' after some times, is it true? I do have a link to an Aussie website that sell Future. Yet to give it a try though. For now, I'll go with a Tamiya Clear Coat first.

I use Pledge and haven't observed any yellowing over the last 12 months since I started using it.

Almost there... Just applied all decals. Some decals are from my more than ten years old F-14. They become brittle and hard to apply. I'll give them a clear coat later. And then it will be my first attempt in panel lining as well.

Looking good!

Now that does look good with its war paint on, looking forward to seeing it finished as its been excellent work so far.

Going slightly off topic we know the F-111B was rejected by the US Navy for its carrier capabilities (note they tested on USS Coral Sea of the Midway class rather than a fully fleged SuperCarrier of the Forrestal class or its follow ons !!!). But it was used succesfully by the USAF in the strike roles, what it they used a B based fighter version in the ADC role to replace the F102/106 armed with its AIM-54 to catch Soviet bombers coming over the Artic ?.

That DOES look good in that scheme. well done!

What would the USN have named the F-111B had it come to pass though? 'Tomcat' doesn't work as it wasn't a Grumman 'cat' design and with the short nose, even as you modelled it, it's hardly an Aardvark, is it? Any suggestions?

Great Job! That could be a first whiffy nomination for 2012.....

Re name: Kingfisher... ?

The carpet monster took it!

Looking very, very good, Firefox!

PS: I've been using the same bottle of Pledge for 2 years, now, & there is no yellowing on the first models I used it on (& that includes clear parts).

Which rather raises the question 'Do panel lines need to be 'done'?' as they're already there......  ;D

Excellent work Firefox!  She looks the part, heftier & meaner looking than the Tomcat.

Also begs the question would the RAF have ordered an interceptor version if the F-111K had panned out?  Would have fit nicely into the role later taken on by the ADV Tonkas, I can see it in air defence greys with a special scheme.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Firefox

pyro-manic, that's a cool Canadian version!

Here's my first attempt on the panel lining. Using dark brown  oil paint. I think it will take me a while to finish everything. Christmas break is over...

They'd have needed to add a rocket to get it up to altitude before they ran out of North Sea...
