Peter Jackson is too astute a business man not to capitalise on such a huge asset as the WNW moulds.
They'll be back.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I certainly hope you are both right. I've only succumbed to one WWW kit, the Junkers D.1 at SMW 2019, and it's gorgeous. Not sure I could tackle a bi-plane but I thoroughly enjoy looking at other's work

Wrong scale for me but I have a feeling i wouldn't be able to resist a WNW Bristol Fighter should I happen to be co-located with one close enough to a pay-day.

Here's an idle thought.  Wingnut Wings Handley Page Heyford....

Glorious in the extreme.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Apparently the Bristol Fighter is extremely "wobbly" until you rig it. Taking accuracy to the extremes I would have thought.

Be interesting to see what happens with the masters/tooling of the HP 0/100 and it's siblings.

Wingnut Wings corporate ownership was switched between Wingnut corporate components in late 2019,
it was finalized in early 2020. Following the shutdown announcement there was a later announcement
of a liquidation of assets and reorganization. Whether or not the current iteration of Wingnut Wings still
owns the moulds is an unknown, and I wouldn't assume that the new WNW has retained ownership.

The Vintage Aviator debacle along with problems on the movie/TV production companies side have raised
questions about Jackson's business acumen.

I meant the kits would be back, just not necessarily with WNW on the box.

Lets just hope that whatever happened to the JoHan moulds doesn't happen to these.

And pray tell, what did happen to the JoHan moulds?

Nobody knows.  The company went bust in the eighties and nearly all the moulds* disappeared.  Every so often someone claims to know where they are but the general consensus is that by now if they haven't been melted down for their scrap value then they will have deteriorated to such an extent that they will be useless.

*1/25 cars.  A lot of which were unique to JoHan.

And most of them were beautifully engineered too, each sprue having extensions moulded in to space them away from all the others.

I've got a few Jo-Hans in The Loft, but not as many as I'd like. :(

They did some 1/72 aircraft too, one of the best being the Zero/Rufe twin kit, which gave you all the bits to build either variant.

Pride of my stash is a 1/25 JoHan Chrysler Turbine Car.  Second release, full detail kit, very good condition.
I will build it one day.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

PR19_Kit

I've got a Turbine car too, not sure if it's an issue #1 or #2, how do you tell?

That Petty Turbine looks the BUSINESS! The colour scheme works very well, even if the car wouldn't have been  that competitive in the NASCAR world.

I already have those pics saved in my inspiration file.  But thanks Mossie.

Kit.  First Issue was in a brown box.  Second in a blue box.  After that bigger white boxes.  https://turbinecar.com/kit.htm
