A 1/24th DAKAR Hilux would be sweet.

A 1/24 current shape Hilux would be nice.
Given the number of 4wd vehicles Toyota sell you'd have thought there would be more of them in scale.

What the armour builders of the world do not understand is that car models have to be in 1/25 or (at a pinch) 1/24 so that they can be Hot Rodded (customised, hopped up, tuned, stanced, donked, lowridered, slammed, lifted, ratted or otherwise messed around with) in the way we are prevented from doing to our 1:1 vehicles by finances, legislation, physics, good taste or our significant other.  Doing so with a 1/35 model is simply not practical due to the scarcity of decent parts to swap between models.

but if more companies produce things in 1:35 you will have a self fulfilling prophecy, in that you would be able to cross build, and there are a lot of, post production bits for the 1:35 kits, engines, interiors etc, personally id like manufacturers to do stuff like this in all 4 of the main scales  1:72, 1:48, 1:35 and 1:25,  as it would make messing round much easier.  As is im grateful for what I get in scales I use so that's mainly 1:48 and 1:35 for me.

The prices for the MENG Hilux are insane in New Zealand - easily twice what everyone else pays, more than the newer Tamiya M4A3E8 in 1/35. It's maddening as I'd quite like one, but I'm only willing to pay so much.

There's an ocean of 1/25(24) stuff out there, so the notion that the 1/35 manufacturers
will decide to play 'catch-up' is extraordinarily unlikely.

Not to mention that traditionally the smaller car scales have been 1/32, 1/43, 1/64 and 1/87.

But why wait for it to be done in 'military scale'?
Just grab a car kit that strikes yer fancy and join the fun, we don't bite.  ;D
Well, I might, but Fred'll smack me hand and Kit will hit me with his aquiline glare from beneath The Hat,
sending me back to my corner.

Yes, but the really important point is that nobody makes pintle-mount DShKs, Zu-23-2s and B-10s in 1/24th scale... ;)

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I saw Meng had done a range of "World War Toons" tanks, based on a game that I've never heard of.  They're a bunch of WW2 SD tanks, but the turrets are not particularly oddly shapes, so they might be usable for whiff armour, large for 1/72, small for 1/48.  As well as a bit of fun!

So far there's a Panzer III, Tiger, King Tiger, Sherman, KV2, and a T-34.

Thanks Scoot, forgot that one!

They're also doing a SD kids series, Lancaster, B-17G, J-20, Tu-2 and Type 99 tank.  I wonder if they'll bring out a carrier group for the Lex?

I've just listed what's available in the UK, there seems to be a He-177 and a Scharnhorst available too:

The planes have been out for a little while and I've seen a few Lancs on the boards. The leaflet/instructions in the Lanc include several cartoon planes to show the RAF inventory, including a Mosquito...now that's one I could see myself buying!

Meng models are getting hard to find in the UK. There were nearly none on traders' stall at Telford and their website doesn't list a UK distributor.
