They're doing another!!  Manshu Ki-98!!
http://www.cybermodeler.com/news/images/meng1.jpg

It's out in Hong Kong lads. Got mine in the post yesterday. Very nice, 3 markings options in the box : IJAF, Manchuko and Thai

Looks quite simple so might start building it shortly
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Wooksta!

One of the lads at Wor Club had it last neet.  Looks very nice but I'll be holding off on it for a while, may pick one up at Telford.  Captured RAF markings?

Be a nice one for Operation Cosford 2013.

I also have a Ki-98 directly from China in the pipeline. Haven't received it yet, but the pics on Meng's website make it look simple but clean, nothing for detail fetishists. What's interesting are the 3 versions you can make. O.K., all fictional, but anyway:
a) a green/grey IJA interceptor
b) a Manchukuo fighter, all silver/bare metal
c) a Singaporean machine in an earth tone with dark green tiger stripes (some Ki-43 Oscars flew that way).

I'll probably end up with the IJA livery, but the Manchurian thing looks VERY pretty!

Option (c) is actually a Thai machine Dizzy' with those wonderfull white elephant markings - I'll be doing this option

Yes, I stand corrected!

They've also done a Minenraumer, this is mostly nice except for the dimples in the track links that need to be fiilled and refilled . Mine's destined to be painted in Kubinka tank museum grey complete with pigeon poo and metal tube instead of machine guns, it's a bit neglected.

Not a whiff, but it'll be nice to have a new-build kit of this subject:

Interesting advert.  'The area-ruled F102' ?

Jschmus

The original YF-102 wasn't area-ruled, but the YF-102A and following production were.  The fuselage is "pinched in" midway along, then flares back out towards the engine nozzle.

You can see it in this view.  The fuselage kink is located underneath the buzz number.

Oh, now that's got me interested: F-106 to follow?

If they want to do X-planes in the same vein as their armour kits, then how about a 1/72nd XF-91 Thunderceptor (the V-tail, radar nose version) please?

Pleasepleaseplease!  I've been hoping for a modern F-106 for some time.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
