Kit.  First Issue was in a brown box.  Second in a blue box.  After that bigger white boxes.  https://turbinecar.com/kit.htm

Magic, thanks for the link Fred.

Mine's a third edition then, as the box lid and the sprues are in white, but beautifully moulded without a hint of flash.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

I could be missing something, but I can't help thinking there has been a translation error made here.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I think it's more a lack of contextual understanding; they don't understand why Americans & Europeans remember the Titanic.

Still, take away the RMS Titanic bit & it's a funky little super-deformed cruise liner. ;)

????
Looks all right to me.

If the idea of a super-deformed Titanic concerns you, just think of it as a super-deformed Olympic or, if you paint her white with a red stripe (or was it green?) & red crosses, you could say it's a super-deformed Britannic. ;D

I'd lean towards Olympic, since she was the only one of the class to make it to retirement.

It was the "Royal Mail Ship" I was questioning.  Imagine my surprise when I discovered that was what it actually stood for!
How embarrassing.
You live and learn eh.

From the on Titanic
QuoteAlthough Titanic was primarily a passenger liner, she also carried a substantial amount of cargo. Her designation as a Royal Mail Ship (RMS) indicated that she carried mail under contract with the Royal Mail (and also for the United States Post Office Department). For the storage of letters, parcels and specie (bullion, coins and other valuables), 26,800 cubic feet (760 m3) of space in her holds was allocated. The Sea Post Office on G Deck was manned by five postal clerks; three Americans and two Britons, who worked 13 hours a day, seven days a week sorting up to 60,000 items daily.[71]
This would also be true of her older sister Olympic and younger sister Britannic, had the First War not intervened.

Given what I do for a living you would have thought I'd have known that.

Must admit I couldn't work out what you were commenting on, just thought I was being thicker than normal  ;) RMS is still being used on a ship that serve the Isles of Scilly and QE II was granted the title as a nod to Cunards history even though it doesn't fulfil the role. British Airways aircraft that carry mail on long distance routes bear the Royal Mail crest also as a nod to history.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Meng have announced the 2021 release of one of my Grail Wish-List Kits, the Israeli Heavy Armoured Personnel Carrier Namer

I don't care about the price (& I'm willing to overlook the Chinese origins of the company) one of those kits (at least) is finding its way past SWMBO & into the stash!
