Still no Skyknight or F-101B reissues in 72nd.

Would also love them to scale down the F-102 an F-106 to 72nd.

So apart from re-issues (why re-issue the Matchbox PR9 when the Airfix kit is so much better !!) theres not a great deal of interesting new suff unless you happen to want the 1/32nd He-219  (At least it will appear in 72nd in a couple of years and no doubt the He-111 will appear in 2013 in 72nd). Distinctly underwhelming

EXACTLY my thoughts! Unless they price it waaaaaay low they don't stand an earthly of it selling all that well.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

So long as its priced to shift, who cares which one is better. By the sounds of it, the old Matchbox one will be ideal whiff fodder at the right price.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Nice to see the Seaking 41 reissued, although they could have got clever and done a Falklands issue Seaking using the AEW 2/5 to do the straight HAS2 and HAS5, being braver they could have done the HC4 to undercut Cyberhobby.

Fixed it for you.  ;D It's all about the home market. The majority of Revell kits are sold to people who don't know of an Airfix Canberra. I'd venture and say most of Revell's customers don't know of Airfix period. The vast majority of their sales are in general toy stores and the toy sections of department stores/supermarkets (where in most cases a customer can have models from any manufacturer he wants as long as that manufacturer is Revell). For the same reason, you get some new Skyhawk (what version is it gonna be?) from Airfix even though there's the perfectly fine Fujimi kit.
And, of course, a Canberra sold by Airfix doesn't earn Revell a single buck.  ;)
Revell's RRP for the Canberra is 14.99 EUR. That's about a fiver cheaper than the Airfix kit here in Germany. IF you know about that Airfix Canberra.
Cheers,
Moritz

White Knight 2!

The 1/72 Harrier GR7 is interesting; they already had one with a different box number. I wonder what's new/different about this one.

Nice to see the Stranraer re-pop, sometine soon for the Wellesley perhaps ?????  Otherwise there's nowt in the 1/72 aircraft plan that appeals.  I hope Revell get the same sort of heat as Airfix does for their ancient repops regarding the Peashooter and the Saetta.  They never seem to though, not even for the P-51D and the Bf109-E.  Ah well.
