From ebay, one ARBA Fw190D-11/13 conversion set. Meant for the Hasegawa Dora, but I'll force it onto the Academy one I have...
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

The Wooksta!

It does fit the Academy kit.  I got it when it came out in '99 and threw it together.  ARBA used it on their stand for the weekend.

It's actually pretty much identical to the kit parts! There's the smooth (gunless) top part for the cowling, and the prop looks to be ever-so-slightly bigger, but other than that it's the same as far as I can see. I'm not aware of the minutiae of the differences between the D-9 and D-11/13, but I think I'll probably just skip it to be honest - not worth the time and effort of hacking up the kit when it'll look the same!

You need a plan view from above.  The cowling flares out to accommodate the larger supercharger.  The intake for that is larger too.

From ebay:

Eastern Express (Frogspawn) 1/96th Lancaster Mk.1.

Dunno, it was cheap, but also something of a swizz, since the shark mouths shown on each engine nacelle on the box art arn't there on the decal sheet. Still, I'm thinking scaleorama to 1/72nd as a sub-scale Lancaster test aircraft (Avro Preston?  ;D) powered by four DH Gypsies.

In the last issue of Air-Britain's Aeromilitaria, there's a photo of the Canadian Lancaster which had the sharks mouth on each nacelle, all part of the 'Tiger Force' article that is continuing in the next issue

A boxful of Spitfire Ia bits from Brian the Modeller on Britmodeller.  Lots of spare canopies and the small pitot tubes which inevitably fall off.
