Picked up at the weekend

Revell NATO pilots Handy extra crewmen in the proper hard plastic that can be used to populate cockpits or have freestanding next to an aircraft.

Also got a 2nd Airfix F-27 as i managed to loose an engine half of the one thats being converted to an Avro 768  :banghead:

The Wooksta!

Quickly nipped into MZ Grainger St on Friday and liberated a pair of Airfix PR19s - an idea hit me on Thursday and I just had to get them, plus the spare wheels help elsewhere.

From the LHS:
3 x 3D Spitfire E wing conversions.  Need the rudders for Heller 16s and the exhausts for various post war Merlin Spits.

Sky Decals Isreali fighters sheet, covering S199s, Spits and Mustangs.  Bad news this, means my projected Isreali FRIXe is now cancelled as they actually had some.  It's sitting in primer awaiting paint....

Xtradecal RAF code letters, two sheets.  One in Sky and one in Dull Red.  Need the code letters for my Spitfire pathfinders.

I picked up another Minicraft 1/200 Hughes HK-1 'Spruce Goose' on Friday, only this one has the decal option I was after, with the 'what-If' Pan Am markings

Don't tell me Robert, you're going to upscale the decals to 1/72 to put on a MONSTER HK-1 Spruce Goose you have in your stash?  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

He! He! He!  it's not in the stash just yet Kit, but very very soon ----  On top of that there might be two of them too.  One will be built as a piston engined version, but I've recently found out that Northrop had offered Hughes the XT-37 turboprop of around 10,000 hp to power the HK-1 and it would have had 18 foot contra-props with blades that look remarkable like Wyvern blades.  Doing some scale-a-rama on 1/48 Wyvern, I find that that they work out to 18'-9" in 1/72 scale so I've got a Wyvern prop set on the way so I can make some copies of them, eight sets will be needed because I still think 10,000 hp per engine is still a bit underpowered for the HK-1/H-4
