Radish

Some essential supplies....like super glue gel, Halford's Black Primer (2), Ford Pearl Grey (think USAF), some gardening stuff (think spaceship).....
Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

Still His (or Her) Majesty, Queen Caroline of the Midlands, Resident Drag Queen

The Wooksta!

From the LHS:

Airfix Spitfire I/IIa
Airfix Spitfire PRXIX

Plus all the other goodies stashed away.

From Miggers on Britmodeller:
CMK Seafire FR47
Looks almost identical to the Pegasus kit but I don't know who copied who.  I do know that it's wrong (small wing bulges = Spitfire F22) and the fin's out shapewise but it was going to be converted to a Spitfire FR26 anyway.  He'd included some spare 4 spoke hub wheels from the Airfix PR19 too.

Pegasus would have pre-dated CMK I'd have thought. Chris Gannon had pretty much stopped making 1/72 scale stuff by the time CMK got going as I recall.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The thing is, there's some Pegasus kits that have tell tale signs on them that they've been copied from elsewhere.

There are some mould seam lines on the original Pegasus Spiteful kit (the one in white plastic) where there should be none on an injection kit and these look very similar to the mould split on the older style Czech resin kits.

A 1/24 Tamiya Morris Mini and a tin of Humbrol 96 RAF Blue for the said Mini.  ;D

Another Airfix 1/72 BAe Nimrod from Alders of Croydon, sea grey spray paint and some brushes. Seems that Alders has a sale on at the moment of their 1/48 and large 1/72 kits. They've also got the RNLI life boat and sea king helicopter set at a reduced price in the bargain bucket bin. It's a pitty that they don't sell modelers sand paper in their store.

Mr.Creak

Glencoe 1/6 scale Explorer 1 rocket.
Will make a very nice 1/72 MRBM to scare the sh*t out my wargame opponents in the current campaign...
What if... I had a brain?

Pop into the Poundstore round the corner I got some fine grit emery paper in there the other day, failing that Clas Ohlson upstairs

4 Airfix Angel interceptors (found them on Amazon.uk for 68p each )
Of course postage to me in Germany is horrendous,  :banghead: but still an awful lot cheaper
than buying them here!
Now all I've got to do is "whiff" them. ;D
The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Smart Alec  ;D I've changed it, thanks for pointing it out so graciously  And yes they probably would if they got a load cheap, think they sell little plastic ones (goldfish that is) for kids

Thanks for the tip on the emery paper. I'll be back in Croydon next week.
