The Rat

Finally picked up the Airfix Valiant. The wife is away for a couple of days, there's no way I could get a box this big past her if she was here.

Still hoping someone will do a B.2 conversion kit.

It's just a matter of time..........  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

First of the new year.... a Revell Messerschmitt me. P.1099B

This is to be the donor (wings / engines) for a mash up with a Jo-Han Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero from PR19_Kit.  May look a bit like a Kikka but hopefully more like a Kikka-A$$ !

First additions of 2012 are a Heller Dewoitine D500/501, and a Rareplanes Curtiss A-8 Shrike, both from Bungle.

The Shrike may well end up in the Crimson Skies universe, or be involved in the "Business Plot" coup of 1934 (but on which side??). The D.500 (what a beautiful aircraft! ) will be a racer, possibly for the Schneider Cup.

After the LHS closed down (they sold Academy real cheap $8-15) and leased the building to a carpet shop, I have been buying online for ages, but I was walkin round and discovered a toy shop with a nice range of Airfix and Revell. I nearly picked up the Revell F-22, but decided to pick up the Airfix Matilda Hedgehog for RW, and the Il-2, which will probably be RW russian, but those Mongol decals will look great on something, what? I have noo idea  ;) Thinking defiant right now...

My #1 son informs me that has procured, from a second hand store (Value Village for those Canucks who know of it), a Life-Like Gloster Gladiator. Not familiar with it but I suspect it's a repop of another, Lindberg maybe? Apparently the box is unopened and still plastic wrapped, so it's a deal for $5. When it gets here it will be whiffed of course, an idea I have had for a while is a hastily banged together and beefed up ground attack version for the repulsion of Operation Sea Lion. The name will be the Gloster Guttersnipe, and it will hopefully look as rough and nasty as the name.

Skeeters.   1/72 Tamiya ones with glass noses.
And a pre-order 1/72 Tamiya Zero.  Gotta see what they have in mind for their future in 1/72.   Now to whiff a Zero................ummm....???
