Went to Heritagecon at the Canadian Warplane Heritage museum, won a door-prize AMT NASCAR #48 Lowes Monte Carlo which I'll probably do OOB if I make it at all, haven't done a car since the 60s. Also picked up an Airfix Spitfire MkI in a blister pack issue, believe it or not I've never built one. Again it will probably be stock, just to say I've done one. Matchbox HS-125, if I can ever get decal printing figured out it might be a personal biz-jet for Simon Templar, have to make one of those stick figure Saint logos. And finally, for the princely sum of $2, the old Hawk/Testors Spitfire Mk22, I know it's not all that accurate but it's a damned quick build, probably will get done as a 'Spotfire', a forest fire patrol aircraft with the Ontario government.

Nice find on the HS-125 as they can be quite hard to come by these days. As for the saint have a look at some of the 16 Sqdn special markings as they use the Saint symbol

Well I was quite happy with a few purchases made at the MK show,

Two Novo Super VC10s for £15  ;D (old FROG repops in 1/144th, still nice though, with separate flaps and slats, retracting undercarriage , etc, and NOT seriously warped )...remember having one of the originals as a nipper, the version with working lights..................built and trashed in a week!!
These will be seriously whiffed into MR2 and proposed AEW 3 variant, as seen in Chris Gibsons Poffler book.

Also, ESCI 1/48th Viggen for a fiver, 1/50th Aoshima Type 99 VAL , (first model I was ever bought by my father way, way back) for a fiver and 1/48th Academy Hunter for £6...again good candidate for 'modification'..
Cheap day out, all in all, even if I did take my life in my habnds weather wise...

Cheers all...
Clearly, Field Marshal Haig is about to make yet another gargantuan effort to move his drinks cabinet six inches closer to Berlin.

What???  :o

WherEVER did you find those? They were an absolute bargain.

I've still got one of the originals, with the lights and the monster stand, plus one without lights as I grafted them into a B-24 assembly ship many years ago.  ;D
