At that price I would agree. Mine is going to become the later Jet boosted version.

Oddly they DON'T include extending the wings, they're pretty huge already!

You could always cross-kit the KC-97G wings onto an Airfix Heron: they'd be nice and big then......

Two sitting Teddy Bears from the Art Shop in Darlington today, they are about 12mm high, made from plastic and were in the ear ring section of the craft bits, they'll look great sitting in a 1/24 Car or Lorry after painting.

I've noticed that a few of the larger kits in Allders of Croydon have been sold such as: Airfix 1/48 Canberra PR9, 1/72 Nimrod and 1/72 HMS Tudor.
I bought an Airfix 1/72 Consolidated B-24 Liberator B.VI, the guns will be used on my ATL4 (Br.1150 Atlantic, with Nimrod wings) close support aircraft. Along with the Airfix 2012 catalogue.

Just bought a few odments today, and closely examined the jewellery in Primarks for some other purpose ( ) and also noted how cheap the steampunky stuff is......I'll be back  later!!

Unexpectedly acquired an Airifx 1/72 Stuka this afternoon, a workmates Dad has had it from when he was a kid and finally decided to get rid of it.  It was started about thirty or more years ago and the glue damage is pretty bad, but it might do for parts.

Which one?  They did three in 72nd - one in the 50s, a decent series 3 kit in the mid 70s with Regia Aeronautica markings and a simplified version of it for series 2. The latter were always quite highly regarded and quite accurate, having benefitted from the research Airfix did for the 24th kit.

It's the series 3 Ju-87B/R, with the Regia Aeonautica markings, box is from 1979.  It does look like quite a nice kit for it's age, light rivets and a decent outline.

Box art has Buccs and Wessex but kit had neither ! Dirty buggers.....

Unfortunately this ones probably beyond recovery, there's blobs of thick glue all over and big gaps.  Might be possible if I really wanted to build a Stuka but it's just going into the parts bin.

Don't know if you've got one in your area, but check out beading and jewelery craft shops: all kinds of thought-provoking stuff, particularly in the charms section....
