From ebay, a Hobbycraft Clunk. This will become a "Clunkaneer", with Bucc wings and tail surfaces, possibly a bomb bay. :)
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

GOT ONE!!!!  :drink:

From ebay: Trumpeter 1/72nd Xian FBC-1 Flying Leopard

Been after one of these at a sensible price since errr, just after they all disappeared from ebay.....

To be lightly converted into a British 1960s clean-sheet-of-paper alternative to the Spey-Phantom. Initial thoughts are Tornado fin, possibly Tornado tailplanes, Hawk gunpod, 2 x Skyflash on front fuselage corners, 2 more on mid wing pylons, Tornado drop tanks, rounded wingtips with the missile rails moved underneath, each holding a twin SRAAM tube.

Weaver

Have you considered the TSR2 fin rather than the Tornado as that should fit the bill better. You can get resin replacements from Odds & Ordanance.

The following 1/144 Anigrand kits from the Big H - the a-9 looks a whole lot better than the 1/72 AV one I have on my disposals pile

EMW A-9/A-10/A-11 Luftwaffe ballistic missile. ....
Junkers EF-132

Both were 30% off and with the rising Aussie dollar are a bargain.

Havn't offered either up yet, but that's an interesting idea: cheers! I could always put the Odds & ordnance one in my TSR.2 kit and donate the Airfix one to the FBC-1......

One point against the TSR.2 fin might be that it's all-moving and has no "blend" into a spine, whereas both Tornado and FBC-1 fins do.

I'm sure you can scribe in a rudder to the fin, and i suspect you would probably cut it down slightly, as for the blend in just extend the spine and fit the fin as per the Jaguar   ;)

Another Airfix Zero and P-40 - I have plans for a "dogfoght double"  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Lol!! ;D Know what you mean!!  Seems to have been a difficult beast to track down!  Have you thought about a twin fin layout? This is a handsome beast & I reckon mine will look even better with twin tails. I've also considered moving the wings aft & replacing the tailplanes with canards

The single ventral fin looks odd to me: the rear fuselage is wide and flat, so  I can't for the life of me see why they didn't have two shorter fins and more rote clearance.....

Go with what BAC were planning for TSR2 - two ventral strakes.

yet another Ebay win, and this one is a bit of a rare bird. 1/72nd scale of course.

Pioneer 2 Douglas DC-2. The main airframe parts (all 2 of em) are moulded in GRP.
It will be interesting to compare it once built to the Special Hobby DC-2.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

So nearly a CF-103 then? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Canada_CF-103)

And today in MZ I got a 1/100 Academy F-15 for whiffing.  It will become Teddy Petter's post-Gnat design, the Folland Mosquito.

Hi Weaver, the later JH-7A version has twin ventral fins. Loads of pics of all versions if you image search for Xian FBC-1, including my Iranian one when I typed it in to yahoo!
