From the Coventry Show today :-

A 1/72 Italeri C-130J from Howard of Effingham, which included the loan of three Airfix mags with C-130 conversion articles too. Thanks VERY much.

Plus 3 of those little clear bags/boxes from our own Colin Freightdog, a Spitfire PRXI conversion kit (I think that makes about six different ways I have making a PRXI by now.....) the Hunter F4 conversion (LOVELY job!) and the amazing 5 bladed prop and engine cowling for Griffon Spits.

To compensate for all this I left the inner lining from my jacket AND my camera behind when I came home!  :banghead: (I'm not well, you know......)

Luckily OGL has them in the boot of his hi-tech Toyota electric motor vehicle and I can collect them during the week.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Well apart from coming into the temporary possession of a very nice Pentax Digi camera. I came back from coventry with 3 (yes I said 3) kits

all 3 are 1/72nd scale. and all resin.
F4 Models 1960's Royal Navy deck tractor.
Cunar model Piaggio P166 DL3.
Cunar model Piaggio P180 Avanti.

I also got my hands on one decal sheet for a BOAC Conni from Mel Bromley (S&M decals) and some 2nd hand decals from Mike McEvoy.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Actually my stash is diminishing. About 12 months ago I culled the stash and am finally now selling about 60 kits on ebay. There was more but a few have crept back into the stash again  ;D. The number then was probably the high water mark on my collection as it had taken over too much of my modelling area and was annoying SWMBO.

Not much but ---- big
Revell 1/72 Airbus A400M and a Nostalgic Plastic (Anigrand) 1/72 C-17 correction set.

Had to see how the A400M stacked up against the C-130 and C-17 so here's a pic of the fuselages.

And purely out of interest, how the A400M is compared to a A310 which I already have, which I think is just as much an eye-opener to judge it's size.

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

I read that as a Chieftan tank manned by dwarves  :banghead: That's what happens to your thought processes when you've known Radish for a fair old time

12 x Airfix Spitfire F22

A tidy haul!

How many!

Im just settling for the 3 that arrived from Hannants yesterday.

They're already allocated and I've plans for at least 4 real ones.  There may be a repeat order with Uncle Frank later in the year.  However, I've called a moratorium on buying anything else until Telford.
