Something was not correct with the first batch of castings, some extra details were added to the fuselage, and the right wheel sponson was made the correct length, apparently the two sides are not the same length.  So you get the forward fuselage, right wheel sponson and a clear cast windshield.

Two built models of the RouteMaster 1/76 scale. A metal prototype with shutters and front side entrance and a pre-production plastic model. Both kits are slightly damaged and will be repaired for use on my OO model railway layout.

However, I've called a moratorium on buying anything else until Telford.

A moratorium?  Ha!  You've clearly caused a national kit famine and there's not much left to buy anyway!!

Picked up a Dragon 1/72 Meteor F.3 @ MZ in the Traford Centre today.

I picked up F.1 & F.3 in my local MZ a while a go when they were on sale, no way I'd pay full price but the sale price was  and the kits are very nice

Hoping the Val eventually ends up on "sale" as well. I know they are nice kits (and yes I know others have differing views) but the price structure is  :banghead:

And I'm sure it'll be a worthwhile, super-detailed buy at a reduced price (definitely waaaay too expensive at full price though).  Meanwhile I'm actually finding slowly building up my Airfix Val's interior, and I can accept that the kit's fuselage is a bit short, etc.  But hey, it cost £6 and I'm having fun with it!

Oh my, what ARE you planning with THAT lot????
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
