Revell Junkers Ju-290A-7 via Amazon, 'cause it was cheaper there (especially with free postage) than anywhere else. A build when I've time.....possibly civil airliner markings, although either RAF CoastalCommand, or USN Sea Blue Gloss would be impressive.

Plenty of time to consider.

Isreali (they tried to buy the one that the Czechs flew post war) or RAF in SEAC markings as a glider tug for the 200(!) Me 321s that the RAF wanted for the invasion of Japan. Alternately, a Spanish one (they had one, possibly two) in that nice blue worn by the Buchons or an Argentinian one - with refueling on Spanish territory (Canaries?) it may have been able to reach Argentina with escaping Nazi war criminals.  According to one book, Hitler managed to escape there with Borman, dying in Feb 1962.

I confess, I've cracked.  Despite my best efforts, the lure of the new Spitfires and Seafires from AZ/Legato and Special Hobby was simply too strong. So, i have acquired the following:

Legato Seafire F.46 - Simply the Admiral one reboxed with new decals
Legato Spitfire F.14e low back - AZ with new decals

Special Hobby Spitfire F21 - I admit that I was dubious about this after the horror of the Xtrakit F22 and this shares some spruesbut it has oodles of spare bits from the Seafire F15/F45/46/47 - rudders, drop tanks, RATO gear, props, canopies. Means plenty for the keen Spitfire Whiffer, meaning The Plan and I can do a Seafire F46 from the Xtrakit 22 with some of the spares.  I am seriously considering a few extra.

Got back home earlier to-day from a trip to the big city north of here, and a visit to my very favouritist LHS. It is about an 80/75 mile round trip.
SWMBO had wanted to visit a certain Scandinavian based superstore to look for some storage boxes, so this was a legitimate diversion.
I got the Italeri, 1/72 scale MQ-9 Reaper kit.
However when I got home and had a look at the contents it was the 1/48 scale kit. The box said 1/72, the instruction sheet said 1/72, and the transfer sheet is 1/72, but the plastic shure as He11 is not.
I gave the shop a phone call and there is no problems there.
So all I am saying is if you are buying this Italeri kit, check it before you pay.
