Eyeballs  :o

And you  ;D

Finally succumbed to the ModelZone sale today and got 3 Airfix 1/72 Hurricane IIC's. They were on sale and with the 3 for 2 offer I got them all for the princely sum of £9.98

Only got them because I know what I'm going to do with them - Nationalist Chinese in standard RAF colours for the Asia GB, Royal NZ AF over the Solomans and finally an 8th AF hack circa Autumn 1943.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Which kit are you refering to Kit,the E-2 or the 146?

The -146 Alastair, it was only the first batch they got wrong and then produced a complete new engine sprue for the update.

The TNT boxing is the one you want, it comes with the cargo door and has the refuelling probe from the earlier STA boxing.

Thank you very much for that info Mossie I will definatly keep my eye open for that boxing then.

Another ebay win:

Pegasus Miles Master I.  Actually, it isn't.  He got it wrong as the kit as it is has the shorter canopy for the Master put forward as a panic fighter in 1940 to thwart the threatened invasion.

Revell 1/720 USS Intrepid.  Needed the hull from an Essex class and thought I'd save a bob or two over one of the Trumpeter kits, although the moulding of the hull doesn't really suit my project.  Might just get the Trumpy kit or carve myself one.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Yeap its a bit bit nasty, a Trumpeter or a Dragon Kit would be much more suitable

I can see Hank buying a fair few Z-10's LOL

Any way from Hobby Search Japan. After all most 6 months of battling incompetence on the part of both Parcel Force and HMRC..............

One Platz Northrop-Grumman X-47B UCAS.

First ordered 6 months ago, HMRC misread the custom form and read the price in Yen as £4000, So they demand import duty of £500plus on a kit worth £18. Im sure you can imagine what my reply to them was.
Kit gets sent back to Japan.

Hobby Search re ship it to the UK. This time Parcel Force fail to send the slip that informs me that they are holding a package with import duty owed. It sits in their international deport for 20 days before sending it back to Japan. I get contacted by Hobby Search asking why it was being returned again. I contact Parcel force who basically shrug their shoulders and tell me I should have paid the original £500 and try and claim it back from the inland revenue. I lodge a formal complaint against Parcel Force. Still waiting for a reply from them over that one...................

Fast forward to two weeks ago. Hobby Search have the kit back in stock, so I try for 3rd time lucky.     This time I make sure I keep and eye on the parcel tracking on both Japan post and Parcel force websites. £6 import duty and Parcel Force "Handling fee" of £14 (robbing individuals of questionable parentage!) paid, and it arrived today.
Be warned, the cost of the shipping is included when HMRC work out the Import duty. In this case a total Value of £34 for the Kit and shipping. And they appear to be targeting parcels from Japan for closer inspection.
I always hope for the best.

I am shocked that you would call into question the parentage of our Government Servants, also their competence.........
