Bit of U.S., bit of U.K., bit of das Reich...

Nothing too weird ;).

Sticky Fingers

Right. What have we got here then:

Wheelwell becomes cockpit.

Spitfire canopy (masked with Bare Metal Foil to prevent damage while handling and sanding and such)
mated with a Fw-90 dorsal thingy.

Left half of the left boom from a P-38 mated with the right half of the right boom. These things are handed... Found that out the hard way  .

Sticky Fingers

Progress is slow...

... but it's taking shape. At first it was going to be a swept wing (me262 wings) design, but with prop-enigines where the jet's would've fitted, then a swing-wing (1:144 F14) design with a single (me262, again) jet-pod underneath the fuselage, but now I've settled on what you can see in the pic above and have a whole bunch of ideas for upcoming projects ;)
Thanks for looking.

Thanks, gents. But....

... what's wrong with this picture?

Yep: bleedin' carpetmonster climbed on my desk and nicked the flippin' wing! :banghead:
Or it might've been the cats knocking it to the floor and the dog eating it... (My modelling-desk is frequently used by my cats as a walkway to get from the dinnertable to the aquarium.... But this is the first time I've actually lost a part that big.)

Need something else now (yeah, like a lockable, pet-free, more-or-less ventilated, well-lit, dedicated modelling room, but that's not what I meant), so I just might have to take a trip to the LHS.
Oh bugger, how bothersome. ;D

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Just build it like that, Tophe will LOVE it!  ;D

= snicker =  ;D

Well, today is Friday the 13th, I guess the carpetmonster can eat whole airframes today.

Tempting...... but no. One day, though!

Good thing I came back from the LHS prepared then!

The Fw190 already donated it's wings for the cause:

Gonna do a bit of butchering to 'em, as you can see.

The Bearcat I got because it was cheap. It's the old Monogram kit, raised panellines and all. Always thought it to be a cool looking design.

And the Messy's got so many lovely wiffbles it's tempting to build it o.o.t.b!

Naaaaaaaaaahhhh!
Some of the Me P.1099B's parts will most likely be used in Ze Mystery Plane.
And if the fuselage and wings survive I'd like to build that maybe as an airracer... on floats. Schneider Cup style, yeah!

I think I've got the final configuration:

Looks about right to me.

Is it me, or does wing incidence look a bit unusual?

Scooterman

It's got a Republic F-84 type, steam/cyberpunk look to it.

Love it regardless!!

AXU

This final configuration looks so interesting !

Wings are in place! Lots of sanding to do now.

(Took the masking away from the canopy for a moment because I wanted to know what I actually made, haha.)

Working on something to land with:

And, equally important, something to take off with:

Thanks for the comments, and, again, thanks for looking!
@ perttime: Yes, the angle of incidence wouldn't quite work IRL, but it looks nice and aggressive in my eyes...
