Ok.. You guys that do reprints & stuff.

Is there a way of removing the colour from an image, only leaving the black & white outline?

I need to see rivet detail

If using Photoshop, put your art in question into a new duplicate layer of its own, then go to Image, then Levels and set black only as black and everything else as white. I think you could do similar in both Corel and in Gimp, although you might have to flatten some layers to do so. Threshold also can do this.

If the rivets are very light, they might disappear because they are dark gray, so you may have to experiment. So you should have "preview" on while adjusting the levels sliders.

Ok, no problem. What are you using to work on pictures in the way of software, and what are you using to display them? PC or Mac? Start with the basics.
